Project: Barton House Sculpture

Material: Glass Sculpture

Date: 2023

Design of an external public art work for the new Kadans development at Oxford Science Quadrant that celebrates and reflects science and R&D sectors in order to create a sense of place.

The sculpture is inspired by Life Sciences with a form that is taken from fractal geometry.

The design is comprised of three outer glazed leaves that display details taken from life forms under the microscope, applied in a linear formation inspired by DNA models.

The central internal tri-fold structure is made of three mirrored leaves that reflect back the surface design on the outer panels and also reflections of sky and surrounding trees.
